The Alabama Parks is pleased to announce that Eagle Cottages at Gulf State Park is the newest member of National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World Program. Eagle Cottages becomes the 7th in the U.S. with only 55 lodges in the program worldwide.
Every day is Veterans Day at the #AlabamaStateParks as part of our #ParksforPatriots program. This initiative allows free admission year-round for veterans and active military. Park patrons can also voluntarily provide sponsorship donation contributions to help support this program.
A six-person AmeriCorps team is currently stationed at Lakepoint State Park in Eufaula, Alabama, to take part in a seven-week renovation project. The project will include the rebuilding of a retaining wall, renovations to the day use bathrooms and replacing decking in the cabin areas.
